“They Don’t Know” tells the story of a man who has just been released from prison.
He tries to find his way home, and in the process of that, finds it difficult to integrate himself back into society.
Things haven’t exactly been the same since he left. He deals with depression, nightmares and post traumatic disorder.
And continues to reflect on his past horror and how he ended up in prison in the first place.
The aim of this record is to shed light on the issue of Post Incarceration Syndrome (PICS), a type of PTSD that is suffered by recently released inmates, especially those who were in solitary confinement for a lengthy period of time.
“They Don’t Know” is part of a social project that addresses issues ranging from incarceration, to injustice, to mental health amongst others. The funds generated from this project is completely donated to charity, in an effort to provide rehabilitation from people who may be suffering from PICS and other related ill-health.
Therefore, your support is welcomed and greatly appreciated.
